Louise Bennett-Coverley, 'Ms Lou'

Our aims, objectives and intention is to make a difference to our environment.

The philosophy of One Hand Cant Clap acknowledges the debilitating effect social exclusion can have on communities. Essential ‘survival’ skills, can be lost, or undermined without supportive networks. One Hand Cant Clap aims is to engender a fundamental paradigm shift based on the following principles of sharing and giving:

  • Giving - we aim to develop reciprocity and civic responsibility
  • Sharing - enlisting to pass on skills and experience
  • Respect - engendering positive self-image and affirmative actions
  • Understanding - defining the role of personal choice and responsibility
  • Involvement - encouraging participation in civic and community life

One Hand Cant Clap Coaching programmes are designed to value cultural heritage, equip and support those who desire to increase their potential or who are deemed excluded, alienated and disaffected within the education system or working environment.
