Since the launch of the ‘Things Mama Used To Say’ proverbs cards, we at One Hand Cant Clap have been inundated with requests to ‘do more’ related to proverbs. So we’ve decided to do something about it – to create another product using Things Mama Used To Say proverbs cards at an annual event in a space where we can talk amongst ourselves, share experiences, and have some good authentic belly laughs.
“Common Ties – Coming Together” – is a coming together party weekend break
organised in remembrance of our ancestors who paved the way and made it possible for us to be here and enter arenas that were forbidden to them.
This exciting weekend break is a space created and planned with your needs in mind so you can come away with us, get away from it all, relax, re-energise, and be inspired. A range of guest contributions, performances, and presentations will entertain, enthuse and enthral, whilst also helping us all to reaffirm those ‘Common Ties’ which bound together our parents, grandparents, and ancestors throughout our history, and sustain us today. For those of you already familiar with proverbs, we hope you will find affirmation; for those less familiar, we offer an enduring source of wisdom and inspiration.
