Young Survivalist Programme

One Hand Cant Clap’s Young Survivalist Programme is designed to complement formal and informal education and learning and to provide a way for young people to grow self to grow others.  We run workshops in schools on youth engagement, and motivational strategies, prefect training, student counsellors training and teachers’s workshops.

Impact of Our Work

The programme is recognized by many as the most comprehensible 'Transferablle life skills'  training available today for young people’s self development. Our work has impacted the lives of over 4000 young people, influenced more than 700 early school leavers to return and engage with education, raised the attainment levels of 1000 Gifted and Talented Young people, and  raised high rates of attendance levels for schools.

Our programmes has been piloted in a number of schools, colleges and youth inclusions projects.  The work had its roots in looking to tackle the underachievement of African Caribbean students but soon schools felt that it was valued by all children and have used aspect of the programme as the basis for their whole school’s PHSE Key Stage 4 curriculum.
