Louise Bennett-Coverley, 'Ms Lou'

The team involved in One Hand Cant Clap, have over 30 years experience of running organisations and delivering training programmes for young people, minority ethnic communities, teachers, youth workers, parents and the wider community. We work with the marginalized, the excluded and underachievers, using our curriculum of personal development.

In line with the ethos of ‘collective responsibility’ our approach is to work in partnership with young people, parents and all those involved in the well being and education of people working towards:

  • Raising their aspirations
  1. Personal growth
  2. Academic success
  3. Higher standards of achievement and attainment in schools, further and higher   education and the world of work.

We regard everyone to be stakeholders and active members of the One Hand Cant Clap community. We aim to encourage those we work with to become active citizens within their own communities, whether defined by ethnicity, religion, location or social group, thereby strengthening and promoting community life.
